Successful candidate will develop, launch and manage strategic communication operations to ensure products and services reach targeted consumers and will manage entire creative process, using internal and external resources, in demanding, fast-paced environment. Candidate will develop and implement strategic online marketing plan, monitoring the dynamic Internet environment and adjusting in ways that best serve company’s marketing objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Proven ability to develop and implement marketing programs that directly create sales • High-level understanding of business environment, how marketing fits into the overall business equation, ability to contribute strategically at a senior management level • Oversee and manage wide range of online marketing tools and media, including search engine optimization; blogs and other social media; email campaign creation and execution (including list management) • Define success metrics and analytics and report on same • Develop marketing plans, tactics and budgets, including event marketing and advertising • Design and write marketing communications materials, including brochures and Web sites • Produce detailed reports determining success/failure/ROI of marketing campaigns, tactics EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • Bachelors degree required in Marketing, Communications or similar, including Information Science or Technology, Business or Advertising • At least 5 years experience in marketing communications • At least 5 years experience in a technical industry • 5+ years of experience in advertising campaign management and online marketing OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Excellent written communication skills • Experience with Internet marketing of family history and/or genetics a plus • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines • Must be able to work independently, and as part of a management team • Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives We offer a full benefits package including Health, Dental, Vacation, 401(k) and more to all qualified candidates! Successful candidate will perform genotyping analysis. Experience using GeneMapper genotyping software a plus. Experience performing DNA extraction, PCR and genotyping for STR analysis and mitochondrial sequencing essential. Other lab duties as directed. Sorenson Genomics, a world-class DNA lab & global industry leader in high-throughput DNA analysis seeks full-time Data Entry Specialist/Specimen Processor for our Salt Lake City laboratory. Ideal candidates will have data entry experience, the ability to learn quickly, strong verbal and written communication skills as well as a strong attention to detail. Job duties include receiving and accessioning laboratory specimens, completing the order entry/accessioning process, maintaining and regularly updating sample processes, including but not limited to: sample storage, discard and paperwork, some light filing, and other duties. REQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or its equivalent • Minimum 1 year of data entry experience, 2 years preferred • Experience using Microsoft Office • Experience with Order Entry software systems or packages preferred • Work experience with specimen processing in a commercial laboratory preferred.
